BBQ Glazed Bacon Wrapped Onion Rings

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large yellow onion, cut into 1⁄2” slices and separated into single rings
  • 10-15 strips Pederson's bacon (any variety)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat​ oven​ to​ 400°F.​ Prepare​ a​ baking​ sheet​ with​ nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper.
  2. Wrap​ each​ onion​ with​ one​ slice​ of​ bacon,​ carefully​ keeping​ the​ overlapping to a minimum. If needed, secure each one with a toothpick. Place wrapped onion on baking sheet. Glaze​ each​ onion​ with​ the​ BBQ​ sauce.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes and carefully turn onions. Bake another 15-25 minutes until bacon is browned and crispy.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
