1) Are your products gluten-free?
Yes, gluten is a protein that is most commonly found in grains such as rye, wheat, and barley. We do not use those ingredients in our products.

2) What does “All Natural” mean?
The simplest definition of “All Natural” is the product does not contain any artificial ingredients and it is minimally processed.

3) Does Pederson’s Natural Farms raise their own animals?
No, we don’t raise our animals. We source our animals from a small number of suppliers in the USA and Canada that meet the requirements of the certified humane organization (certifiedhumane.com). In addition we only use pork from animals that have never been given antibiotics or growth stimulants ever.

4) What is Lactic Acid Starter Culture?
Lactic acid starter culture is from a meat source that aids in color development and color stability. It is a product that does not contain lactose.

5) What is the difference between “cured” and “uncured” products?
The word uncured is a label used by the USDA to distinguish the difference between products that contain sodium nitrates and the ones that do not. When a product is free of nitrates and nitrites they are to be labeled uncured
